EcoWool Filled Mattress TOPPER Deluxe 2" W/Natural Elastic Straps
This 2” sumptuous topper adds a cloud-like feel to the top of your mattress. Very close to the feel of a featherbed but without the lack of airflow that feathers have. Wool is one of the most optimal fill options for bedding due to its natural temperature regulating properties and bacterial resistance. These are made with 2" of our pure EcoWool and our GOTS Certified European Organic Cotton high quality damask outer (not that weak sateen others use) for durability and hand tufted here in San Diego to maintain softness. It is expertly sewn in California by well-paid seamsters, and hand tufted to prevent shifting. These are gorgeous, very well made and have been favorites of our customers since 1998.
Be careful of sateen outer toppers, they tend to wear out quickly.
New information on the ability of natural wool to absorb toxic vocs in the air and trap them so you can breathe easy make these a must have.
Note: Our organically processed Ecowool, although not certified organic, we have found to be of equivalent purity to certified organic wool. We have organic wool available as well, but the Ecowool is a loftier, springier wool due to the breed of sheep it comes from. In addition, Ecowool is from USA sheep, making it a great way to support our local economy! Wool compresses about 25% over time. Refresh by shaking out the topper when you change your sheets.
Why EcoWool?
Our trademarked Premium Eco Wool Batting is made with locally sourced, family-run farms. This blend is made with primarily Corriedale, Suffolk, Dorset, Cheviot, Romney, Morrit, Coopworth, and Columbia sheep - ensuring an ideal amount of course and fine long fibers. Proven by bed and furniture designers, this blend maintains a nice loft longer than poly filler or other non-natural products. We begin with exceptional low debris wool before proceeding to scouring with a mild, biodegradable soap. Finally, the scoured wool is carded or garnetted into batting.
These toppers provide a lot of breathability due to the pure completely untreated wool. We have been making these in San Diego for 25 years, and our customers love them. 5 year warranty on materials and workmanship. However these can last for over 30 years if treated properly. We like to rotate ours every so often to keep the wool loose.
Spot Clean only. Or hang and thoroughly hose off outer if needed.
